Pete Carney, LCSW

Pete is a licensed clinical social worker with more than 24 years of experience in mental health, child welfare, substance abuse, and LGBTQ services. He has held leadership roles for over a decade, and his work has been recognized with awards such as the NYS DOH Commissioner’s Special Recognition Award and the Community Hero Award for his efforts improving the health and wellness of LGBTQ communities.

Pete also brings extensive experience as a trainer and educator, having trained thousands of health and human service professionals and serving as an adjunct professor of social work at Nassau Community College. At Ridgebury Farm, Pete combines his clinical expertise with his interest in working with children and families through equine-assisted programs, supporting growth, confidence, and wellness in a unique farm setting.
