SMS Terms and Conditions

1. Overview

These SMS Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of text messaging services provided by Ridgebury Farm (“Organization,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By opting in to receive SMS messages from the Organization, you agree to these Terms.

These Terms apply to all SMS communications sent by or on behalf of the Organization.

2. Types of Messages

If you opt in, you may receive text messages relating to:

  • Appointment reminders

  • Appointment confirmations

  • Scheduling and rescheduling notifications

  • Program updates

  • Volunteer communications

  • Donor communications

  • Event invitations and reminders

  • Organization announcements

  • Customer service responses

  • Account notifications

  • Administrative communications

You will only receive the categories of messages for which you have provided consent.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies depending upon your interactions with the Organization.

You may receive multiple messages per month depending on:

  • Scheduled appointments

  • Volunteer activities

  • Program participation

  • Donations

  • Event registrations

  • Requests for information

  • Customer service interactions

The Organization does not guarantee a minimum or maximum number of messages.

4. Consent

By providing your mobile telephone number and affirmatively opting in, you authorize the Organization to send recurring SMS messages to the number provided.

Consent is:

  • voluntary;

  • not a condition of receiving services;

  • not a condition of making a donation;

  • not a condition of volunteering;

  • not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

You represent that:

  • you are the authorized user of the mobile telephone number provided;

  • you are authorized to provide consent for that number.

5. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply.

Charges are determined by your wireless carrier and mobile service plan.

The Organization is not responsible for any messaging or data charges incurred.

6. Opt-Out

You may stop receiving SMS messages at any time.

Reply:

STOP

to any message to unsubscribe.

After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message indicating your subscription has been cancelled.

You will no longer receive SMS messages unless you opt in again.

8. Supported Carriers

SMS services are available through participating wireless carriers.

Carrier participation may vary.

Carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.

9. Message Delivery

Text message delivery depends upon:

  • wireless carrier availability;

  • network coverage;

  • mobile device capabilities;

  • other factors outside the Organization’s control.

The Organization does not guarantee that every message will be received.

10. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us.

Information collected through our SMS program is governed by our Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your mobile phone number.

We do not share mobile opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

We may share information with vendors and service providers solely for the purpose of operating our messaging services and supporting our business operations, subject to appropriate contractual confidentiality and security obligations.

11. Donations and Marketing Messages

If you have separately opted in to receive fundraising or promotional messages, you may receive:

  • fundraising campaigns;

  • donor appreciation messages;

  • volunteer opportunities;

  • community events;

  • newsletters;

  • organizational announcements.

You may opt out of these messages at any time by replying STOP.

 

12. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age or have permission from a parent or legal guardian to enroll in our SMS program.

 

13. Changes to These Terms

The Organization may update these Terms from time to time.

Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated Effective Date.

Continued participation in our SMS program after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

 

15. Disclaimer

The Organization is not liable for delayed, undelivered, or misdirected messages, interruptions in wireless service, carrier failures, or technical issues beyond our reasonable control.

17. Acceptance

By opting into the Organization’s SMS program, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these SMS Terms and Conditions.

The mission of Ridgebury Farm is to unite licensed clinicians and nature to deliver evidence-informed animal-assisted therapies and hippotherapy; occupational, speech, physical therapy, psychotherapy, and nature-based programs - that build physical and mental strength, emotional health, and social connection.
